Phaze Theory is a London based art-rock band focused exploring the occult traditions of Britain through the poetry of Yeats and Blake particularly. Founded in 2014 by tuba player Christopher Barrett, guitarist Tal Janes, and drummer Marco Quarantotto, all professional freelance musicians and graduates of London or Austria’s leading conservatoires; the ensemble has performed at venues worldwide including the Spice of Life, The Finsbury, Bird's Nest, The London Jazz Festival, Servant Jazz Quarters, Silver Bullet; Band on the Wall for BBC Radio 3 as part of the Manchester Jazz Festival and toured the West Coast of the United States in 2016.
Their members have toured almost every country in the world playing with ensembles as diverse as the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Sons of Kemet, Bahla, Waaju, SEED Ensemble, Maria Chiara Argirò group, and David Gray as well as performing at Secret Garden Party's Main Stage, The Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall New York, The Berlin Philharmonie, Pizza Express London, A Love Supreme Jazz Festival, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw and many other distinguished festivals and venues.
